We are proud to offer scholarships to students desiring to attend umpire school or continuing education programs for umpiring. We offer many scholarships based upon need and merit. Values of scholarships range from $100 - $2800. The amount awarded is based upon donations from the previous year, and amount of applicants.
To qualify for consideration, candidates must provide evidence of the following:
• The existence of a significant financial barrier preventing the realization of the candidate’s potential through education.
• The existence of other obstacle(s) such as social educational disadvantage, disability, or other adverse life circumstances.
• Proven academic ability and potential.
• Possessing the qualities to be a role model to others facing similar barriers.
• Highly motivated and committed to pursuing a career or avocation in the field of umpiring.
Based on these criteria, a list of candidates will be established. Candidates are subject to an interview with members of the selection committee, foundation board of directors and other experts at the invitation of the foundation.
